Peoria Bloomington, IL, October 23, 2026 —
Biotech billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy has launched a statewide bus tour in Ohio alongside fellow Republicans, while a campaign advertisement featuring the mother of his Democratic rival, Dr. Amy Acton, has created divisions within the party, according to the available summary.
The summary does not provide the tour’s schedule, stops, stated purpose or the names of the Republicans traveling with Ramaswamy. It also does not specify when the tour began or how long it is expected to continue. No further details about events or public response were provided.
The advertisement is described as featuring Acton’s mother, but the summary does not explain what the ad says, how the mother appears or whether she is speaking. It does not identify who within the party expressed disagreement, what the divisions concern, or whether any party officials or campaign representatives commented.
The available information does not indicate whether the ad has been withdrawn, whether it prompted a formal response or what actions may follow. It also does not provide polling, fundraising or other campaign details. The relationship between the bus tour and the dispute surrounding the advertisement is not explained.
Together, the two developments put Ramaswamy’s Ohio campaign activity and the reaction to his campaign’s advertising in focus. However, the information provided does not establish whether the tour and the internal divisions are connected beyond occurring in the same campaign context. Details about dates, locations, reactions and next steps were not included. No direct quotations or statements from either campaign were provided in the summary.
