Netsmart will showcase the latest advancements in augmented intelligence (AI) and automation across its intelligent CareFabric® platform at the National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition, taking place Oct. 27-30 in Washington, D.C. Through live demonstrations, AI Data Lab TechTalks and conversations with the Netsmart and McBee team at booth 401, attendees can explore connected workflows designed to support care at home providers in their efforts to reduce administrative burden, strengthen decision-making and improve patient care.

Netsmart will feature the next generation of myUnity®, an integrated electronic health record (EHR) platform designed for care at home providers. With embedded augmented intelligence (AI) for clinical documentation, predictive analytics, mobile-ready workflows and interoperability in a single intelligent platform, myUnity helps providers improve efficiency and support value-based care across the post-acute continuum.

Attendees can learn about Bells®, the Netsmart AI clinical documentation solution designed to reduce documentation burden and help clinicians spend more time focused on care. As Bells adoption expands within myUnity, Netsmart is collaborating with providers to refine workflows with embedded AI capabilities, including speech-to-text and AI-assisted writing across narrative fields to help streamline documentation. Bells will also bring ambient listening1 capabilities designed to support the hospice HOPE assessment by generating documentation recommendations for clinician review and approval. Planned capabilities include additional structured assessments and interdisciplinary group summaries within care plan workflows.

“The value of AI comes from how well it fits into the work providers do every day,” said David Strocchia, SVP and Managing Director, Provider Solutions, Netsmart. “Our clients help shape that work by identifying where processes slow them down and where better information can support care. Together, we’re building technology that supports their expertise, adapts to evolving needs of the post-acute landscape and empowers staff to focus on the patients and families they serve.”

Attendees can also explore the Netsmart revenue cycle AI and automation suite, designed to streamline workflows and support reimbursement outcomes. AlphaVerify aims to help providers verify eligibility, secure authorizations and validate coordination of benefits, ultimately supporting the goal of a first-pass pay rate. AlphaCoding provides AI-enabled ICD-10 coding assistance that surfaces evidence-based recommendations for coders2. And finally, AlphaCollector™ helps prioritize claims for collectors to work and infuses automation and intelligence into traditionally manual collections workflows. Benny, the revenue cycle AI assistant, works across these solutions today while continuously learning new skills and expanding its capabilities across the revenue cycle.

The AI Data Lab in booth 401 will feature TechTalk presentations highlighting innovations across the CareFabric platform, including:

  • AI-Enabled Revenue Cycle Automation for Home Health and Hospice, on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 6:00 p.m.

  • See It in Action: The Netsmart Intelligent Platform, Embedded with AI on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 10:30 a.m.

Beyond clinical and operational workflows, Netsmart will also highlight how technology can strengthen support for patients and families through its newest Marketplace partnership with Betterleave. The family-caregiver engagement platform supports the hospice journey from admission through 13 months of bereavement. Integrated with myUnity, Betterleave’s text-based messaging system helps providers communicate conversationally with family members throughout care.

“Families need to feel heard, connected and supported from admission through discharge and bereavement,” said Cara Abbott, Founder and CEO of Betterleave. “Our partnership with Netsmart makes it easier for hospice teams to connect with families, capture real-time feedback and take action before concerns escalate. By turning everyday text conversations into meaningful insights, we’re helping providers improve family satisfaction, strengthen CAHPS performance and deliver more personalized support without adding to staff workloads.”

Additionally, attendees can visit booth 103 to explore SimpleConnect™, part of the Netsmart Simple suite, designed to help post-acute providers manage data submission and compliance. SimpleConnect for Home Health and Hospice offers a browser-based solution that streamlines OASIS and HOPE scrubbing, CMS iQIES submission and CASPER reporting within one workflow.

Beyond the booth, Netsmart and McBee leaders will take the stage for a variety of education sessions on care delivery, AI leadership and financial operations:

  • Executive Technology & AI Leadership Workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 8 a.m.

  • Best Practice Insights from the National Healthcare at Home Best Practice Study on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 3:15 p.m.

  • Audit-Ready, Appeal-Strong: An ADR Playbook on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m.

  • Start Financially Strong: Automated Financial Clearance on Friday, Oct. 30 at 8:00 a.m.

  • Navigating VA Benefits on Friday, Oct. 30 at 11:15 a.m.

Alliance Annual Meeting & Exposition attendees can schedule a meeting with Netsmart and McBee leaders or visit booth 401 to learn how a connected platform can help home health, hospice and palliative care providers address workforce demands and increasingly complex workflows.
